Simaisma Beach Closes for Five Years to Make Way for Major Tourism Development

Simaisma Beach, a popular family destination in Qatar, closed its gates to the public today, June 10th, marking the start of a five-year closure. This significant move enables the development of the massive Simaisma tourism project by Qatari Diar, as reported by Al Sharq.
Located approximately 40km north of Doha, the project is hailed as one of Qatar’s most prominent future tourism ventures. Spanning roughly 8 million square meters along a 7-kilometer stretch of the eastern coast, it aims to redefine tourism and entertainment.

The ambitious development promises a unique year-round experience, blending coastal nature with modern technology. A key innovation will be an advanced outdoor cooling system, designed to ensure visitor comfort outdoors throughout all seasons. The project’s goal is to provide an exceptional destination for both visitors and residents upon its completion.
