A tournament of potential

Organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), this third‑edition Rising Stars event features eight teams – India A, Pakistan A, Bangladesh A, Sri Lanka A, Afghanistan A, Hong Kong, UAE and Oman – competing in the T20 format between 14 and 23 November 2025 in Doha.

The format is straightforward: two groups of four, with the top two from each progressing to the semi‑finals.

As of 19 November, Pakistan A leads Group B having won all three of its matches; India A follow. In Group A, Bangladesh A sit atop with two wins.

Breakthrough performances

The tournament has already delivered fireworks: 14‑year‑old Indian prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi blasted an unprecedented 144 off just 42 balls, including a staggering 15 sixes, helping India A post an enormous total of 297‑4 against the UAE in their opening fixture. He became the youngest male player to score a T20 century for a national side.

Such performances underline the purpose of the Rising Stars tournament – providing a platform for the next generation of cricketing talent across Asia.
