For UAE residents and tourists looking for a low-cost way to reach Saudi Arabia without flying, daily international bus services offer one of the most budget-friendly options—especially for travelers without a car or driving licence.
Cross-border trips are operated through the Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO), with ticketing in the UAE handled by Belad Al Sham Passenger Transport, which runs daily services to Riyadh and Dammam.

- Friday: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Travel documents required at the border
At the Al Batha border crossing, passengers must present:
- A valid passport (at least 6 months validity)
- Emirates ID
- Saudi electronic visa (eVisa) copy

Luggage allowance
Each passenger can carry up to 50 kg of luggage. Extra luggage is charged at AED 3 per additional kilogram.
