UAE Introduces ‘Home Residency Renewal’ Service for Expats

As of March 12, 2026, expatriates in the UAE can now renew their residency visas from home, thanks to the new “Residency Renewal from Home” service launched by Emirates Health Services (EHS).

This initiative aims to simplify the residency renewal process by allowing residents to undergo mandatory medical fitness screenings without visiting medical centers.

Under this service, a specialized medical team visits the applicant’s home to conduct the required medical examinations at a scheduled time.

This approach not only enhances convenience for residents but also aligns with the UAE’s commitment to modernizing government services.

After the home screening, applicants will receive their results via text or email, enabling them to complete the residency renewal process without unnecessary delays or visits to medical facilities.

The service adheres to strict health standards to ensure quality and safety during the medical assessment.
